Information You Submit
Names, phone numbers, and addresses entered into the search forms are sent to the third-party provider that supplies those results. Our own servers do not keep a copy of those queries. If you send a message, we receive its contents and use them to answer or handle the request.
Routine Technical Logs
Hosting providers may record an IP address, browser details, requested pages, and access times. Aggregate reports help diagnose failures and show which references receive traffic. Basic analytics or advertising measurement may use cookies or similar tools when those services are enabled.
Why Information Is Used
Technical information is used to operate the pages, correct faults, measure visits, and improve the reference. Visitor lists are not sold, and individual browsing profiles are not built by the site.
External Destinations
Pages point to Connecticut and New Britain records portals, libraries, archives, and sponsored search tools. Once a link is opened, the destination’s privacy policy controls what it receives. The provider of sponsored results has its own data practices as well.
Who May Process It
Hosting and technical vendors may process ordinary logs while supporting the pages. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic information described above. Information is disclosed when valid legal process requires disclosure, and otherwise only as needed to run the service.
Security and Retention
The connection is encrypted, and logs are retained only for the operational purposes described above. Because there are no user accounts, this service does not hold a reader password or account profile.
Visitors Under 18
The reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor has sent information, use the Contact page so it can be reviewed and deleted.
Your Connecticut Privacy Rights
The Connecticut Data Privacy Act, enacted in 2022 and effective July 1, 2023, may provide access, correction, deletion, portability, disclosure, and opt-out rights for data held by covered controllers. Universal opt-out signals apply from January 1, 2025; a response is generally due within 45 days, with a possible 45-day extension, and one request each year is generally free. Because this service keeps little information, a request usually means checking the contact mailbox and available logs. Use the Contact page to ask. Public records held by New Britain, Hartford County, or Connecticut custodians are controlled by those offices, not by this policy.
